Florida-based Formula race car driver, Jonathon Ziegelman, has an amazing gift of control when seated behind the wheel of the powerful racing machine. His natural racing talents and drive to succeed are a perfect match with his thrill-seeker attitude. He is considered one of the best drivers on the circuit but his athleticism is not confined to the race track. Omega XL was able to catch up with Ziegelman to discuss his career accomplishments and his outlook on health.
1. What was your greatest professional accomplishment?
I have had many great moments in my career, some being good and bad, although one that I most cherish was the starting point to my professional career when I was selected as one of 16 finalists for BMW Scholarship finals in Valencia Spain.
2. How do you spend your time these days?
Aside from racing, I spend a lot of my time training. I’m not one to sit still, I enjoy the outdoors, staying active, any way I can incorporate a workout outside, the better. I’m a member of a gym but I find myself hardly going just because, I live in such a great place to train outside whether it’s karting, cycling, running, or kayaking, the weather is great all year round. Aside from racing, I’m big into photography. I learned from great friends of mine who were actually shooting me at the time for a racing project. As soon as I witnessed what you can achieve by mixing natural light with a combination of artificial light thus, creating such surreal images, I became hooked!
From there on, I started my own small photography business, focusing primarily on the conceptual style ad work, targeting the Action Sports and Motorsport arena. I enjoy working with other athletes. By incorporating my personal influence from the sport, I know how they want to be portrayed and it’s make for some creative imagery.
3. Do you have any exciting endeavors you are currently pursuing?
By nature I’m very competitive, I’m always learning new things and work on improving everything I do. I just don’t understand how these guys are running these marathons so fast though! Part of my training regiment for racing is to run…a lot! I’ve been taking part in marathons in order to stay in shape but of course, I want to win! I give a lot of credit to the athletes participating in these events, it takes a lot of training and a great deal of mental focus to compete and do well. The training pays off though; it’s the ultimate achievement when you complete one. I’m looking to improve my time and compete in several events this year.
4. How long have you been taking Omega XL?
